The Boys Are Back in Town: Entourage Season Six Bonanza

Well, after a long respite, the guys of Entourage are back for 12 weeks of Sunday night entertainment. Before I get into a plethora of off season info and insight, lets take a look at a preview...

I'm stoked. After watching all of season five last night, there are a couple things that bugged me, however. I wasn't the biggest fan of the rather convenient and easy way that Vinny landed the Scorsese movie, but I won't complain too much. I think that going into this season, the writers of the show need to delve deeper into some more character development and maturation of the relationships, without losing the "excess" facet of the show which provides its main appeal. Previews seem to show that this may be the case, as Turtle (who we FINALLY found out has a birth name of Sal) seemingly is in a relationship with Meadow Soprano, E may be moving out, etc. I think that this can add something new to the show; all the time, keeping the gorgeous women, fast cars, and expensive vacations, however.

The one obstacle that seems to occur with these types of shows (i.e., 24) is that after several successful seasons, the bar is set so high that fans expect subsequent seasons to get even better. This is sometimes difficult to achieve, so I think the above developments in the shows plot line could prove helpful in rejuvenating the audience while maintaining its fundamental appeal. However, at the end of the day, the fans will probably be more than satisfied with the show's mere return to Sunday night programming. I guess we'll just have to wait until 10:30pm tonight.

We'll have more after tonight's premier, but in the meantime, have fun checking out some of these links that I have scrapped together in the off season.

Here is a pretty funny take on the show done by the people at Collegehumor.com.

Not sure how I feel about this one, but what the heck.

And of course, the best for last.

Alright folks, until later, stay classy!
